Celebrating St George’s Day

This St George’s Day, Wednesday 23rd April, we’re serving up a celebration fit for England’s patron saint – shining a light on homegrown heroes, seasonal specials, and a whole lot of English spirit… in every sense of the word.

We’re pulling out all the stops with glorious specials that fly the flag for the English farmers and suppliers that inspire our kitchens, including two English-grown asparagus specials we will be showcasing for National Asparagus Day available April 23rd-27th.

Spring Menu – English Highlights

We’re toasting the best of English food by celebrating all our seasonal dishes that represent our love for local – check out our highlights from the current Spring menu below:

  • ChalkStream Trout Gravadlax – Our premium rainbow trout is sustainably farmed in the famous chalk streams of Hampshire, England – specifically the River Test and River Itchen. These pristine, spring-fed waters offer the perfect conditions for trout cultivation. The fish is home-cured with dill, lemon, and orange zest, and served with crème fraîche and pickled cucumber.
  • Lamb Shank Navarin – Slow-cooked, fall-off-the-bone ethical, British lamb sourced from butcher to the Royal Family, Aubrey Allen. Slow-cooked for eight hours to achieve the perfect tenderness and served with a medley of seasonal braised vegetables.
  • Dressed Devon Crab – Caught off the coast of Devon in the Western English Channel and dressed to impress – with brown crab mayo, fresh salad, and deliciously crispy chips.
  • Wye Valley Rhubarb Crumble – A crumble to shout about, featuring rhubarb from the fourth-generation family-run Cobrey Farms in West Herefordshire’s Wye Valley. The rhubarb is gently poached and served with a buttery crumble, accompanied by rhubarb and mouth-watering elderflower ice cream.

Raising the Steaks

This St George’s Day, our usual Steak Night offering is also getting an upgrade. For one day only, we’re offering a rare deal – buy any two steaks and receive a complimentary bottle of house wine + three steak sauces on the house* – ALL DAY.

The English Rose

Sip on The English Rose – a beautifully crafted, limited-edition cocktail that’s blooming with flavour (don’t worry, we left out the thorns!) Beautifully floral, elegantly balanced and proudly pink!

Tanqueray gin, Sarti Rosa, lemon, raspberry, topped with egg white – £9.95.
